The completion of Round 30 on St. Patrick's Day saw the regular season of the 2012-2013 campaign come to an end. A valiant and heroic effort by macho nacho to secure 3 trophies before the playoffs even began came up a bit short as Real Chapala snatched the Supporters Shield away from them and Memfrica lifted the club's 2nd Coppa di Walt in 4 seasons. It should also be noted that this is Chapala's 2nd Shield.

The playoffs begin next round. The 7 seed, Team Ramrod, will face the 10 seed, Stevie G, who eliminated champions Gemmill in Round 30. The 8 v 9 game is between Beerguts and UNREAL. Each playoff round will be contested over 2 legs. Higher aggregate score wins the matchup. Tiebreakers will be broken by Goals, Assists, Clean Sheets, Goals Against, Coin Toss. Teams 1-6 are idle for the next two weeks. However, the BS Cup will still be plodding along so you can still manage your team in that competition.

macho leap frogs Chapala during Round 29 to take a 1 point lead into the final round in the battle for the Supporters Shield. macho is also in contention for the Coppa di Walt, albeit 9 points behind Memfrica, inaugural Coppa winners in 2010, as they contest the final and 4th leg of the competition this weekend. With the Suicide Cup already on the mantle, macho has a chance of claiming the first 3 trophies of the season, a feat not accomplished in the Waltiverse since FMAC did it back during the 2012 Major League Walt season. macho faces Beerguts in the final round where Chapala goes up against Ramrod.

Eight teams are qualified for the playoffs. Five are eliminated. UNREAL and Gemmill sit precariously in the 9th and 10th spots as Stevie G hopes to sneak in with a win over Gemmill this weekend. Gemmill is dangerously close to falling victim to the Champions curse. No WLP champion has made the playoffs while holding the WLP trophy.

The BS Cup moves into the 22nd of 30 rounds with, who else????, macho nacho leading the table. Team Ramrod currently leads the FA Cup competition.

macho and Gemmill compete in the 5th round of fantasyleague.com's system-wide Pro Cup this weekend.

UPDATED PLAYOFF ODDS, Biggest Movers -
Deportivo la Na +11.1%, AC Frayser -8.2%

With 2 rounds remaining in the regular season, macho delays Chapala's Supporters Shield triumph with a 13-6 win. macho pulls within 1 point and is very much in the running. Along with macho and Chapala, WAGS, FMAC, Ramrod, Fergie and Memfrica all clinched playoff spots. Seven are in, just 3 to go. At the moment, only the Rogues and Frumunda are eliminated. Ozaukee is hanging by a sliver and Deportivo is making a late charge. Will Gemmill, Beerguts and UNREAL hold off the onslaught in these next two weeks?

Perfect timing from the severely overrated FA Cup, that's right I said it, as 6 out of the 20 EPL teams will not be in league play during Round 29. Everton, Manchesters United and City, Wigan, West Ham, Chelsea and Fulham are idle from league play because of this forcing many teams to scramble to make do. Sorry folks, but the world's greatest cup competition, as I'm constantly reminded, takes precedence.

Speaking of cup competitions, macho and Gemmill are defying everything by making historic cup runs in fantasyleague.com's Professional Cup. They're clean through to the 5th round, or round of 128. Just 7 more wins to glory. Most impressive.

GENIUS for under $40

macho wins the inaugural Suicide Cup.

The first trophy of the season goes to the youngster macho nacho with a 2 games to love victory over Beerguts in the Suicide Cup final. macho becomes the youngest man ever to win a Walt League trophy (Chapala still holds the record for being the most immature to win a trophy.) With just 3 rounds to go in the regular season, macho could take a great leap forward to claiming his 2nd trophy of the season, the Supporters Shield, by defeating table toppers Chapala this weekend.

Gemmill, WAGS and macho are all still alive in the 4th round of the Pro Cup. There are 256 teams remaining.

Chapala sees its European odyssey come to an end in a loss to the Englander Prognosis Negative. Mr. Back Door did the best with what was given to him in the spot vacated by the petulant BIFA by becoming just the 2nd Walt Leaguer to make the knockout stages of a European competition.

The Coppa di Walt resumes this weekend with the 3rd (of 4) leg of the final between Memfrica and, who else???, macho. Memfrica leads 25-20, but macho has a legitimate chance of taking 3 trophies before the playoffs even begin. This is very reminiscent of FMAC's brilliant run in Major League Walt back in 2012.

Chapala and macho are still the only two teams to have clinched a playoff spot. The Rambling Rogues of Memphis and Frumunda are now on vacation time as they have been mathematically eliminated from further competition. Frumunda is in the process of setting a remarkable record in having only scored 8 goals in 27 rounds.

The very handsome Bob Murphy explains why minimum wage laws are economically destructive. If you're a good little citizen (or you think you're hipster cool), then don't hit play. This will only confuse and frighten you, then you will have to mock me to make you feel better about yourself as well as to reassure yourself that you're not dumb.
