Coppa di Walt
BIFA Spirit Cup
A belated congratulations to El Jefe for lifting the Suicide Cup two rounds ago. Apologies for no update last weekend. I was consumed with mountains of red tape in preparations of my strenuous USSF E License coaching course to be held the following day. Hey, at least I know what to do if the ball doesn't get out of the penalty area during a goal kick.
No games this weekend as there is an international break. There are just two rounds left in the regular season. Six teams have clinched playoff berths while 4 are already eliminated. Beerguts is holding onto the 7th and final spot, four points ahead of 8th place WAGS.

After two legs of the final of the Coppa di Walt, FMAC leads Derecho 17-6.
El Jefe moves into the round of 128 for the Europa League. This is by far the deepest run in Europe that a WLP club has made. It is fascinating to note that El Jefe is ranked 20th in the entire fantasyleague.com system. This is not only remarkable based on sheer numbers, but it's even moreso remarkable when you factor in that El Jefe's domestic league doesn't allow that SuperSub bull shit. Just think if he could use all his subs during each round.
Meanwhile, Derecho, Chapala and El Jefe are all still alive in the Pro Cup. FMAC went out last round by a single point. The Pro Cup moves into the round of 128 as well.
By the by, super pic here of Chapala's boy Matteo consoling a mate during his team's loss in penalties of a cup final last weekend at Mike Rose.

Matteo reminds me of Mattheaus consoling a distraught Chris Waddle during a game back in 1990 one night in Turin.
