Last day of the season

We are on the cusp of the final 90 minutes of the season. Chapala holds an 18-10 lead over Derecho going into the 2nd leg of the final. Derecho heroically took down El Jefe in the semifinals which has to be the biggest upset in the 6 years of the Walt League Premier. Chapala, World Cup Walt holders, slid past FMAC in penalties in the other semifinal. FMAC, it must be said, also lost in penalties to WAGS in the semis of the 2014 World Cup Walt. Gut-wrenching, again.

In minor trophy news, I just checked the League Series link at fantasyleague.com which houses the BIFA Spirit Cup particulars. El Jefe, who else, has won his 3rd trophy of the season (Supporters Shield, Suicide Cup, BS Cup).

Semifinals, 2nd Leg is this weekend; Transactions Report

"In semifinals, somehow there is always more at stake...more thunder in the air."

--from Tor! Total Football (1988)

If you don't believe it, then ask El Jefe. The literal definition of domination since August 16 of last year, El Jefe finds itself in a battle for immortality with Derecho who are knotted up at 15 after the first leg. The tiebreaker is favoring El Jefe presently with having two assists to Derecho's one.

FMAC is on top of Chapala 9-4 in the other semifinal. Chapala has thrown caution to the wind and is playing CB roulette by buying McShane of Hull. Chapala is walking that very fine line between genius and insanity.
