Chapala stays on top of the table with the high score this past week. Chapala also has taken a step towards progressing out of the group stages of its Europa League group with a handsome 15-2 defeat of Omnium. Chapala now sits in 2nd place of the group, 3 points ahead of 3rd with just two games to go. Visions of the Danes of 1992 are beginning to breakthrough as Chapala did not qualify for the tournament, but was a last minute replacement for the vacated BIFA 69ers.
Round 10 runs Saturday through Monday as does the 2nd leg of the Coppa di Walt quarters. The BIFA Spirit Cup moves into its 5th round of play as well.

I would also like to inform those that do no participate in Major League Walt, that Deportivo becomes the league's second champion with a finals defeat of FMAC. FMAC, clear favorites after sweeping all 3 regular season cups, came up a day late in a legendary attempt to lift 4 trophies in 1 season. The steady Deportivo navigated the playoff rounds superbly by not resting his hopes on a guy named Eddie Johnson. The 2013 version of Major League Walt will see an upgrade in application as the Google spreadsheet will be scrapped in favor of a working, dynamic web site.
