Round 1 results; 1st Transfer Window closes on Friday at 10 pm CDT

Updated Table
Fixtures and Results

AC Frayser takes home the top score for Round 1. However, it is Team Ramrod who sits on top based on the goals scored tiebreaker.

Round 2 begins on Saturday.

For newcomers, the first transfer window will close on Friday night at 10 pm CDT. Each team has $50 for the year, plus whatever you have leftover from the draft. (Beerguts has a king's ransom leftover.) Each and every Friday throughout the season you will have a chance to bid on players to add to your roster. Of course, you may only carry 15, so in order to add a player, then you must drop a player at the same time. As is the case in all market situations, high bid wins.

Please go to the SEALED BIDS link to bid on the player of your choosing. You can find the SEALED BIDS link in the field of links above the League Table here - http://www.fantasyleague.com/Pro/Division/Default.aspx?divisionid=48185 - or just under your team page on the right.

If you have any questions, then please let me know.

Note: The Chelsea/Aston Villa game to be played on Wednesday, August 21, will not be scored for Round 2. Chelsea is playing in the UEFA Super Cup on Friday, August 30, and will play its Round 3 game vs. Villa this Wednesday. Unfortunately for those that own Chelsea or Aston Villa players, you will not receive points for them during Round 3. Sorry.

WAGS and Wankers, Champions 2013

Congratulations to Walt League Premier's 4th champion, WAGS and Wankers. WAGS defeated Supporters Shield winners Real Chapala in a two-legged final to pick up its 2nd major trophy, the first being the 2010 World Cup Walt. WAGS was on the ascendency for the last two months of the season and many a pundit had earmarked them to challenge for the trophy. Next season, WAGS will now be defending the WLP trophy as well as the World Cup in the summer of 2014. The 2013-2014 season starts in 12 weeks.

Semifinals 1st Leg Recap

Chapala and WAGS take great strides in reaching the final in the 1st leg. Chapala leads 13-1 over Ramrod. WAGS moves ahead 15-3 over the historic Fergie, historic in denying quarterfinalist FMAC a place in the semifinals for the first time. Fergie deserves a trophy for that feat alone.

The 2nd leg resumes this weekend.

Quarterfinals, 1st Leg begin this weekend

Beerguts and Team Ramrod move through to the quarterfinal round of the playoffs with victories over UNREAL MADRID and Stevie G in the play-in round.

Thanks to "the greatest cup competition in the world", the FA Cup, the 1st leg of the quarterfinal round is, as a sailor might say, "messed up."  There are games scheduled from Saturday through Wednesday. However, some teams play twice and a few teams play nonce. For anyone named Guard Dog out there, this will seem complicated. For everyone else, I'm sure you'll be able to follow. I will list the games that will be scored towards the 1st leg of the quarters. Those managers with Tottenham, Swansea and West Bromwich Albion players are out of luck. (FMAC happens to have a full one third of its players rostered to Tottenham and Swansea.) Every team is scheduled to play in the Saturday to Wednesday window with the exception of Tottenham, West Brom and Swansea. (I'm personally okay with it because the regular league schedule is being interrupted by the "greatest cup competition in the world", I'm constantly told.) So without further ado, here are the games that will be used to score the 1st leg of the quarterfinal round. Note that teams that play twice will only be scored once. Teams in bold will be scored. Teams in regular, or whatever the correct term is, will not be scored.

Please get in touch if you don't understand.

Saturday
Arsenal v. SuperNorwich
Aston Villa v. Fulham
Everton v. QPR
Reading v. Liverpool
Southampton v. West Ham

Sunday
Newcastle v. Sunderland
Stoke v. Manchester United

Monday
No games

Tuesday
Arsenal v. Everton - neither team will be scored due to their already having been scored on Saturday

Wednesday
Manchester City v. Wigan
West Ham v. Manchester United - neither team will be scored due to their already having played a game
Fulham v. Chelsea - Fulham will not be scored
